Last week Diffraction Analysis released the report that I wrote: Do data caps punish the wrong users? The report is based on real network data from a North American ISP, and has garnered a lot of attention in the last few days. The ISP that partnered with us was not exposed in the report, because we felt we were not at liberty to make their name public.
They however, decided to announce that they were the ISP, and did so in a blog post by CEO Dane Jasper entitled Web Hogs. The company is Sonic.net, a smart and disruptive ISP in Northern California. And a transparent one too!
