Tomorrow morning I'm flying out to Lisbon to make a speech at the APDC's 20th Annual Congress. The theme this year is Restart, both a reference to the tribulations of Portugal during these last few years of recession and an impulse to the telecom sector to be one of the foundations of the economic rebirth.
I will be talking about the demand issues surrounding FTTP and offering possible solutions to kickstarting the demand for next-generation connectivity and services. A lot will be down to the willingness of competing players to face the same issues collaboratively or struggle with them separately.
If you happen to attend the Congress tomorrow and you want to meet for a chat, please don't hesitate. I'm speaking at 2.30 PM as the opening keynote to the Networks of the Future session.
